Zachary Smith graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Michigan University, majoring in Philosophy with a concentration in Professional and Applied Ethics and a minor in Sociology. He went on to attend law school at Valparaiso University, completing an internship with Branch County Prosecutor’s office after his final year. Upon graduation, Zachary pursued private practice before transitioning to into public service working as an assistant prosecuting attorney in Hillsdale and Berrien Counties.
Zachary has a strong background in criminal law, allowing him to provide thorough criminal defense. Other areas of his practice include expungements, family law, landlord-tenant law, business formation, contracts, estate planning, bankruptcy, real estate, and animal law.
When he is not diligently working on cases, Zach enjoys spending time with his wife, two young children or creating and building in his woodworking pursuits.
